LaCrosse Footwear Q4 Earnings Surges 96%

Bootmaker LaCrosse Footwear Inc. announced Monday that its fourth-quarter profit jumped 96%, driven by demand for its military and outdoor boots.

 

For the quarter ended 31 December, net profits of the company were USD2.3 million, on sales of USD42.5 million. Net earnings were USD1.2 million, on sales of USD35.1 million during the same period a year ago.

 

Revenue increased 21% to USD42.5 million from USD35.1 million during the same time last year.

 

For the full year, LaCrosse Footwear earned USD5.5 million, decreased about 10% from last year's profit of USD6.2 million.

 

Full-year sales increased 9% to USD139.2 million, up from USD127.9 million in 2008.

 

LaCrosse Footwear makes a variety of boots for law enforcement, construction and military personnel. It also sells hunting boots and other outdoor footwear.
