Q: How do I find a company?

There are three ways to conduct searches with ShoeMap. You can search by business type, by location or by keyword.
Search by business type - "What are you looking for?"
Here you will be able to quickly search for businesses from over sixty categories and countries. To find a particular business simply move the cursor to the kind of company you are looking for. This will open a sub-menu for more specific searching and then bring you to a complete listing for that category.
You then just choose the country and click.
Keyword Search
The keyword search allows you to enter a keyword such as "leather" or a company name, select a country and then search based on this information. This is particularly helpful when you are looking for a special feature or when you know part of a company name.
Map Search
Just click on the area of the world where you want to search and you will be brought to a detailed country listing with a keyword search feature. Enter the keyword and the system will search for matching businesses in the areas you selected.

Q: Do I have to pay to use ShoeMap?
A: there is no charge to use ShoeMap as a viewer or to list your company in the Address Directory. There are only charges if you would like a detailed company listing on ShoeMap.
If you would like to have your company's information included in ShoeMap you have several options. The full listing will give you a detailed listing of your company including an explanation of your organization, on-line product showroom, use of the private workroom and private showroom as well as inclusion in the ShoeMap searchable database. Q: Do I need to log in every time I use ShoeMap?
A: You are not required to log in or register in order to use ShoeMap however by registering you can take advantage of certain special features including My Shoebox and system updates. Once you register you will receive your own login name and password. There is no charge to register.

A: This is the fastest growing on-line list of shoe related companies, with links to detailed listings for those companies registered with ShoeMap. Q: What is the Show Calendar?
A: Here you can find dates and locations for major shoe related trade fairs around the globe. We are continually updating this list and make every effort to not miss any event. Please let us know if there is an event that you would like included.

Q: What is "My Shoebox"?
A: My Shoebox is a place for registered users to store information that they have found through ShoeMap. You can store search results, addresses, news or almost anything else you can find in ShoeMap. This is a password protected private area which you can access from any internet connected PC.

Q: Why do I have to register in order to save things in "My Shoebox"?
A: In order for you to save information, the system needs to be able to recognize you when you come back to the site. By registering the system can save the information for you.
